AdsenseJuggler raised the CTR on Google Adsense Banners on ALL websites tested. However, some of the Color Schemes may not fit in with your website design. So if you are worried about keeping a smooth website design, you might not like some of the Adsense Color Schemes that will be displayed.

Websites with many recurring visitors such as blogs will see the best results.

It depends on how many recurring visitors your website receives. On websites with many recurring visitors, such as blogs, 5% or 10% is good. On websites with little recurring visitors, such as new proxies, 20% or 50% is good. Generally though, 10% is the recommended amount.
